The Scholars of Hope Scholarship (SOHS) was established to acknowledge and reward under-served high school seniors who dream of furthering their education. Eligible students must exhibit a strong work ethic, dedication to their community, and demonstrated the tenacity to overcome obstacles in life. We believe in the core values of hard work, integrity, respect, perseverance and commitment and we want to support students who embody those values.
(SOHS) not only fosters the development of high school graduates but places a greater emphasis on the student’s determination to succeed rather than just the academic record and test scores. Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 each to winners selected by our Education Committee. Deadline for the submission of application and required material is March 30th annually, with an award date of April 30th.
An Education Committee was selected, who was responsible for reading the essays and application packets that were submitted. On April 30, 2019, our team selected our first six Scholars of Hope recipients in Miami-Dade and Broward County Florida.
